Yvette Sterling was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She attended St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School in Brownstown Jamaica, where she served as Head Girl. She attended the York University in Toronto, Canada where she obtained a combined honors degree in Economics and Political Science, and the University of the West Indies, Jamaica.
Barbara Ransom was a Pennsylvania certified school teacher before her life took some interesting twists and for the last 25 years has litigated on behalf of individuals, classes and advocacy organizations in cases ensuing from the 14th amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Ms. Ransom began her legal career at the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia where she developed skills to practice from administrative hearings to the U.S Supreme Court.
